Flux Of Pink Indians "Not So Brave" LP (Overground Records)

Compilation of oddities and rarities from one of anarcho punk's best. Flux Of Pink Indians are probably best known for their "Neu Smell" 7" on Crass Records from 1981, but they released a lot of strong material. The A side of this LP features the demos for their 1982 LP "Strive To Survive Causing Least Suffering Possible" (which they self-released on Spiderleg Records). These are interesting, more primitive versions of the tracks that would appear on the actual album. The B side features an alternate mix of the track "Background Of Malfunction" from the aforementioned "Neu Smell" 7" which was done at Southern Studios in January of 1981. Also on the B side is the track "Tapioca Sunrise" from the "Wargasm comp (Pax Records, 1982). And the B side is rounded out with the band's original demo, recorded at Earhole Studios on August 24, 1980. All in all it's an excellent compilation that features alternate versions of many of their best tracks.
