When this 12" was released in 1984, it was a record that showed the transition from the more punked out UK82 era to the UKHC era. With blazing high speed thrash, barked vocals, and anti-war lyrics, the band established themselves as one of the more extreme hardcore bands in the world at the time. The lineup featured Rat (vocals), Damian Thompson (guitar), Mark "Brik" Briscoe (bass, although Tony May was pictured on the back cover), and Andy Baker (drums). Several months later, Damian Thompson and Tony May would leave the band to form Sacrilege. They were joined by Andy Baker on drums in 1985 in time to record the seminal "Behind The Realms Of Madness" LP. "Another Religion Another War" remains an era defining record, and one that smashes, thrashes, and bashes as much as it did in 1984.
